Tra Co



Tra Co is a spot situated in the far-east border-land of our country, adjoining to China. It is at 195 km from the tourism centre Bai Chay. There are here matchless beautiful vestiges: the communal house of Tra Co, the Linh Khanh Buddhist Temple, Mieu Doi (the Twin small temples), the catholic church.

All southern mountains are of the same longevity.
Earth is eternal and sky is boundless.

These two verses reflect the will of Tra Co people when they began to come here for making their livelihood. Through hundreds of years living amidst many other national character, and all their today's life still bears the deep imprint of pure Vietnamese culture. Tourists can observe this characteristic feature in renowned festival - days, as well as in a system of shrines, Buddhist temples, all these constructions having their peculiarity.

We have to introduce first at all the communal house of Tra Co. Short vacation at Tra Co Beach with Vietnam travel should be nice choose for your family. It was build in 1550 in the shape of the Chinaese hieroglyph "cong" and was composed of two buildings, each building having seven compartments. They are 29.8 m long 18.5 m broad, with 48 pillars are nearly 5m high, their circumference reaches 1.63 m. The seven central compartments have all ceilings, floors are made of boards. Longitudinal compartments have engravings with fine figures.
