The sandy relics of Tra Co
Sa Vi Cape marks the easternmost region of the country, or the tip of Vietnam’s S-shape. From there, the sandy beach stretches 17 kilometers south to Binh Ngoc Cape.
The coastline is backed by three-to-four-meter-high sand dunes and peaceful fishing villages, which casuarinas trees protect from the sand and sun.
Previously, Chinese tourists crowded the beach because of its proximity to the Vietnam-China border.
However, much fewer Chinese come to the beach since China prohibited its people to travel to Vietnam via the Bac Luan Border Gate, which is in Mong Cai, a busy border town of Quang Ninh, earlier this year.
