Tra Co is a spot situated in the far-east border-land of our country, adjoining to China. It is at 195 km from the tourism centre Bai Chay. There are here matchless beautiful vestiges: the communal house of Tra Co, the Linh Khanh Buddhist Temple, Mieu Doi (the Twin small temples), the catholic church.

All southern mountains are of the same longevity.
Earth is eternal and sky is boundless.

These two verses reflect the will of Tra Co people when they began to come here for making their livelihood. Through hundreds of years living amidst many other national character, and all their today's life still bears the deep imprint of pure Vietnamese culture. Tourists can observe this characteristic feature in renowned festival - days, as well as in a system of shrines, Buddhist temples, all these constructions having their peculiarity.

We have to introduce first at all the communal house of Tra Co. Short vacation at Tra Co Beach with Vietnam travel should be nice choose for your family. It was build in 1550 in the shape of the Chinaese hieroglyph "cong" and was composed of two buildings, each building having seven compartments. First Vietnam’s beach golf course begins operation

The golf course, located along the romantic Tra Co Beach, was designed to international standard. This is the first course in Vietnam having two separate runs one for training and the other for competition. Other services such as restaurants and tour guides around the area are available for guests.

To increase the capacity of the golf course during summer, Vinh Thuan Company established golf tours by sea such as Mong Cai – Hai Phong – Van Don, Mong Cai – Cat Ba and Mong Cai – Hai Phong. Tourists will enjoy tow days in a five-star hotel, go sightseeing and play golf.

The sandy relics of Tra Co

Sa Vi Cape marks the easternmost region of the country, or the tip of Vietnam’s S-shape. From there, the sandy beach stretches 17 kilometers south to Binh Ngoc Cape.

The coastline is backed by three-to-four-meter-high sand dunes and peaceful fishing villages, which casuarinas trees protect from the sand and sun.

Previously, Chinese tourists crowded the beach because of its proximity to the Vietnam-China border.

However, much fewer Chinese come to the beach since China prohibited its people to travel to Vietnam via the Bac Luan Border Gate, which is in Mong Cai, a busy border town of Quang Ninh, earlier this year.

Tra Co offers a tranquil retreat

About 180 kilometres past Ha Long Bay, or seven hours drive from Hanoi, lies the peninsula of Tra Co.

Tra Co marks the road linking Mong Cai township, north of Quang Ninh, with the Chinese border. But most importantly for tourists, the area boasts white sands, cultural sights and a golf course.

If you're in the mood for a walk head out along the 17km coastline from Tra Vi to Mui Ngoc. In addition to the beaches and crashing waves there is a natural mangrove forest nearby.

About 6km from Tra Co beach is Tra Vi, "Km 0" from the Chinese border. This is the starting point of the S-shape that's Vietnam. On a clear day you can look out across the water to China on the opposite shore.

This is where the tourist trail ends but don't feel tempted to stop here because just around the corner an oasis awaits - Con Mang.
